
BIOGRAPHY
Aisha is an exciting award-winning harpist who has performed across the United Kingdom at the Royal Festival Hall, Birmingham Symphony Hall, Lancaster House and the House of Lords. A passionate orchestral player, Aisha has performed with a variety of orchestras including the London Symphony Orchestra, Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Birmingham Contemporary Music Group and the Academy of St Martin in the Fields, working with conductors Gianandrea Noseda, Kazuki Yamada, Ryan Wigglesworth and John Wilson.
In recognition of her commitment, she has been awarded the MMSF Philharmonia Fellowship and the LSO Conservatoire Scholarship.
She won the Blue Ribbon Instrumental aged 19 and over receiving the Peggy and Maldwyn Hughes Scholarship at the Eisteddfod Genedlaethol and the Eastbourne Symphony Orchestra Young Soloist Competition 2023. Previously she won the Nansi Richards Scholarship in the Wales Harp Festival 2022. This was followed by a guest performance on the Llwyfan Encore at the Eisteddfod Genedlaethol. Further recognition of her talent includes the Larry Adler Award, the Olive Jenkins Memorial Bursary, Peter Simon Award and the Guinness Award from Royal Academy of Music.
Aisha is establishing herself internationally, receiving 2nd prize in the World Music Competition at the Wales International Harp Festival 2023, winning the Professional Duet Prize in the Hong Kong International Harp Competition 2022, and 1st prize in the International Harp Competition “Walled Town”, Cittadella, Italy. She also received 2nd prize at the Infinity International Harp Competition and a Diploma from the Glowing Harp International Competition.

A creative soloist, Aisha has performed Tailleferre’s Concertino with the Eastbourne Symphony Orchestra, Glière’s Harp Concerto with Enigma Orchestra and Debussy’s Danses Sacrée et Profane with the London Youth String Orchestra. She was invited to perform a solo recital at the ‘Harp on Wight’ Festival on the Isle of Wight, Leicester Cathedral, Salon Music Highgate and the Foundling Museum.
She is involved in the Healing Through Music project at the London Clinic and has collaborated with the Orchestra of the Swan on projects in the Acorn Children’s Hospice and Café Muse Hereford. Enthusiastic to spread the importance of music in the community, Aisha works tirelessly in residential homes, hospitals and schools, she enjoys the amazement and curiosity shown by children. Having successfully achieved the LRAM Teaching Diploma, using her skills and affinity with children she works as a peripatetic teacher.
Aisha graduated from Royal Academy of Music with a BMus First Class Honours and a Regency Award under the tuition of Karen Vaughan. She is currently studying on a scholarship towards a Master of Arts at the Academy under the tuition of renowned harpist Catrin Finch.
Aisha is very grateful for the support she has received from Help Musician Postgraduate Award, the Drake Calleja Trust Scholarship, the James Pantyfedwen Trust Scholarship, the Glynne Jones Scholarship from the Ryan Davies Trust and the Cherubim Trust.
